There are several ways to get digital copies of your x-rays. Your dentist can often assist you in making your current x-rays digital and giving you a copy. Many dental offices are already using digital imaging systems. They can send you a digital copy of the x-ray as an email attachment and you can forward it to dentalopinion.com.
It is possible to make digital copies of your x-rays with a digital camera. Place the x-rays on a light box and take a picture of them with a digital camera (without flash).
X-rays can also be scanned with a flatbed scanner fitted with a light box. This system is often more cumbersome that the camera method above.
If you send me good copies of your x-rays I will be happy to convert them to a digital format for a nominal fee of $10. This will save you the return delivery fees.
Please do not sent in "jpg" or "jpeg" images larger tha 2 MB (megabyte).
The content of the response will hopefully guide you to some of the questions you might wish to ask your treating dentist prior to making your treatment decision. DentalOpinion.com is intended as an “additional information” service designed specifically to answer your question. The response will be via email within three business days. A “next day” time is not uncommon. |
